Below are a few interesting insights from the latest IATA Cargo report

Cargo tonne-kilometres (CTKs) fell by 7% Year on Year, this was the first month without an improvement since April.

This was driven by increased lockdowns & a particularly strong November 2019.

Cargo capacity continues to be an issue

Bellyhold cargo capacity fell by 53.0% yoy. While dedicated freighters ACTKs increased slightly, airlines were unable to match the increase in demand for the peak season due to limited fleet size and a number of specific operating issues.

Yields continue to increase driven by limited cargo capacity.

This is most notable in Asia.
